ROME

A traditional and historic city that offers a variety of activities to do. Marked by an ancient culture is different and perfect place that you should know.


University of Rome "La Sapienza"



Is the largest university in Europe, and ranks among the first in the world by number of students.


Founded in Rome on April 20, 1303 by the will of Pope Boniface VIII. Today it has 21 faculties, 21 museums, 155 libraries and over 130 across departments and institutes. In the world ranking of universities prepared by the Shanghai Jiao Tong University for the first time in 2004, then in 2006 La Sapienza is the most prestigious Athenaeum Italy and the only Italian college in the top 100 universities in the world. In the ranking of European universities is ranked 34th, ahead of some other famous institutes such as Frankfurt. The current rector, from 2004 to 2008 is Professor Luigi Frati.
  
La Sapienza suffered several crises during the years of the First World War, because of the disagreements between supporters of interventionism and neutrality.

ROMA



Is the capital of Italy, the most populous city of the same country, and the fourth most populous city in the european union.


In the course of its history, spanning three millennia, it was one of the first great metropolis of Humanity. It was the heart of one of the most important ancient civilizations, which influenced society, culture, language, literature, art, architecture, philosophy, religion, law and the dress of the centuries; was capital of the Roman Empire. 







It is the city with the highest concentration of historic properties and architectural world









Rome, geographic heart of the Catholic religion is the only city in the world that has inside a foreign state, the enclave of Vatican City: for this reason is also known as the capital of two states.











The most important sacred buildings of antiquity were the temples







 The religious buildings of Rome are an essential part of the architectural heritage of the city




In Rome, there are hundreds of Christian churches and their history is intertwined with religious, social and artistic history of the city







Roma civil buildings consist of several hundreds of buildings and other monuments accompanying the history of the city along its 28 centuries






 After the annexation of Rome to the Kingdom of Italy, many buildings were used as offices of various organs of the provincial, regional and national government, as the Quirinal Palace, seat of the Presidency of the Republic






Rome also abounds in fountains and aqueducts: between monumental fountains, most of which were built by order of the Pope at the beginning of the modern age










The Roman military buildings dating back to the mythical origins of the city, when Romulus had raised the walls of the square Rome, and have played an important role throughout the course of history of the city, determining the development and defense of thereof.





The main squares of Rome, born during the Renaissance and the Baroque period, tend to bear witness to the creativity of an ideal of harmonious life between the supernatural and humanistic exaltation concessions.







For its wealth of archaeological sites, Rome is a true open-air museum.

EDUCATION IN ROME

Learning About Rome Education


Education:
The first part of the education is in home, the children learn different cultural rules, one of the most important is the moderation and the patience.


The life style is characterized by family, they life a simple live, the smallest gift are the best, also they are social and curious, they thing that the way for the future is be restless and they love the art, THEY ARE ARTISTIC.

The school education start with the kindergarten, in this the children learning to differentiate colors, the vocals, figures forms, some songs, the parts of the body, numbers and mainly  to communicate and socialize with other children.



After that they start the Primary, they learn to write, read, mathematical operations.

In the Lower Secondary Schooland and Upper Secondary School they develop skills aimed at the profession

There are a lot of Academies and Colleges to people that can´t or will not study in a University.



TRANSPORT IN ROME

TRANSPORT IN ROME




The transport in Rome is really varied.



There are two airports that are one of

the principal means of transport to arrive
to Rome, one of this take a express subway 
station inside, this help a lot of people to
explore the city.




The express train is known as The  Leonardo Express, this conect  the Rome Termini Station with Rome-Fiumicino Airport in only 31 minutes.




An interesting  mean of transport is the cars, now the is really comun see electric cars that helpt the environment, this is a sacial labor of millions in Rome.






In the public transportation there are many 
metros that conect the city and these are 
not expensive. 








The buses and trams are really commonly used by tourists that try to see this beautiful city, in addition there are many night buses to travel around the city at night. One interesting characteristic is that these are small.




                                                                                    The taxis are another option to travel into Rome, is    the most expensive means of transport and is really common see illegal taxis.









For me, one of the best means of transport is the bikes or scooters, in Rome you can rent it, is cheaper and is healthy.






SPORTS LIFE


SPORTS IN ROME


The Sport is present in the daily life of Rome. Is common to see the Romans reading the sports news, especially those relating to football. 

The citizens of Rome are big fans of the sport, and many of them practice in the various sports facilities in the city.


To practice various sports activities, Rome offers the necessary equipment within the city and nearby. In addition, the sports calendar of Rome is very varied, with major events such as the Rome Marathon or football matches.


One of the favorite sports, especially for visitors from Rome, is cycling.

La Università Roma Tre






Università Roma Tre is the third public university in Rome in chronological terms 
and the second in number of students enrolled.
It was founded in 1992 to address the huge growth in demand for higher education in Rome.


 The university is divided into 8 faculties and 29 departments, offering a total of 30 programs for three-year undergraduate, 54 two-year undergraduate specialization, 66 master, also has 8 doctoral schools offering 16 doctoral programs and 2 specialized schools .
The university was established with the aim of recovering industrial and productive abandoned or degraded areas, serving as an agent of urban regeneration.

GASTRONOMY 

Rome's cuisine is characterized by its fineness, highlighting exquisite dishes like these:


-PIZZA: 

The most popular dish not only in Rome but in much of the world for its variety of textures and contents which may include preparation. The most traditional pizza is made ​​up of a baked bread that is covered with tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese.


-THE RISOTTO:

This is a traditional dish made of rice with intense smell and flavor served in Rome. Its flavor is complemented with mozzarella cheese.


-FOCACCIA AL ROSMARINO :

This is similar dish to pizza in the development of the mass  and is composed of flour, water, fresh yeast, salt, olive oil and fresh rosemary.


-THE LASAÑA: 

This is a type of pasta served in sheets and may contain meat or chicken.


-THE RAVIOLI:

These are squares folded and stuffed of pasta, these varying in different regions, recipes and culinary cultures.


-TORTELLINI:

Are variants of pasta in different forms, which are filled with meats, cheeses, hams, and other, and are usually served in dishes accompanied with a little broth and sauces.

Vatican City


This city is inside of Rome, there are 900 live in The Vatican and is considered like the smaller country in the world.

The national languaje is Latin and it is the most important country to the Catholic Church.





      
 This smaller country is the home of the Pope         now Pope Francis, the people that live there  work in turism of all people that travel to know  The Holy See  and some people work with  the Catholic Church. 






The Holy see is the highest institution of the Catholic Church and is headed by the church and they have their own legislation, also The Holy See has the diplomatic relations with other countries.

There are Three important places in the Vatican City, the first is St. Peter´s Basillica, it is the biggest Christian Church in the world, its dome makes her figure dominates the skyline of Rome. Now is consedered like one of the most recognized and sacred symbol of the Catholicism. Another interesting thing is that this church is located on the burial place of St. Peter, who was one of the Twelve Apostles.




The second place is St. Peter´s Square, it shows, in the background, the magnificent facade of St. Peter´s Basillica.



The Third places is the Sistine Chapel is the most famous Chapel in the Vatician City, it is the official residence of the Pope and it is localized to the right of the  Basillica of St. Peter. 
The Chapel has served to celebrate differents papal ceremonies and events, also it is the place where the cardinals elect a new pope.

Rome has a large selection of museums that show the best works of art, paintings and sculptures from the ancient times of Rome. The whole tradition and history can be found in the museums of Rome.

Rome, Like capital of Italy, has a wide variety of monuments that reveal the grand stage of the Empire, both culturally and architecture, leaving a legacy of art, history and tradition are of great attraction for tourists.


CHURCHES

Rome is also an important place of religious transcendence in it the seat of the Catholic religion is the Vatican, in addition there are many significant churches and temples of great importance.


PALACES 

In Rome you can find lots of sumptuous and important characteristic of the Baroque eras, which until now resound with refined taste and stunning decor and all the tradition and lifestyle of the past.


PARKS 

In Rome not everything that can be found are museums or churches, but also places of entertainment and fun, green areas where you can relax and enjoy the surroundings of a city like this.


PLAZAS

Among the sights of Rome more open and spacious squares can be found, in addition to being detail decorated with sculptures and gardens have great influx of tourists and people who like to hang out.
